Utilising AI Technologies for Exploring Self-Expression and Avatar Creation Methods.

In today’s digital landscape, avatar creation methods often fall short, limiting users’ ability to express themselves fully. Traditional options and pre-set features confine individuals to narrow representations, neglecting the diverse spectrum of human identity. This project aims to address this issue by exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform online self-representation. Through thorough research, the project identifies the limitations of existing avatar creation methods, highlighting their lack of creativity and inclusivity. With this knowledge in hand, the project delves into AI generative software like Midjourney to unlock its potential. By understanding the technical capabilities of AI, the project seeks to pave the way for a more inclusive digital future. The project’s highlight is the development of an inclusive and expressive AI persona. This persona challenges traditional avatar norms and aims to combat negative stereotypes associated with AI. This exhibition will be showcased in an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience through motion graphics and visual material.
