Youth violence is still rising over the years and there many factors causing it but one of the main factors that is not being addressed enough is social media. Social media nowadays has violent content being shared all the time on all platforms and anyone can view it. Young people can view this and easily get desensitised to these types of content and get influenced by these acts which can lead to dangerous outcomes.
This web-based intervention is targeted to a younger audience and it’s about how social media influences these behaviours, with interactive features and real statistics and articles linking to youth violence. The endgame is to get the message across for social media pages to restrict these videos on social media platforms.
